About our program
We take great pride in our breeding program and make sure that each foal is properly cared for long before they are even born. Our breeding stock is part of our family that we love, care for and handle on a daily basis.
What you can expect when purchasing a foal from The Painted Acres Ranch:
1. Halter and lead broke
2. Loading and backing from trailer
3. Picking up feet
4. Started on tie training
5. Dewormed monthly
6. 7 Panel genetic tested
7. APHA Registration papers
8. Color and pattern testing (some foals are known through parentage)
9. New halter and lead for their trip home
10. Extras can be done upon request (I have prepared foals for winter by blanketing them, exposed to bathing, exposed to trimmers, etc)
11. Foals are APHA Breeders Trust Nominated (offspring of A Tru Shot Of Rolex)
12. Weanling Bootcamp happens when foal is separated from dam and is approximately 2 weeks long. We go over all that’s been learned over their time with us since birth and they practice doing it all without momma by their side. We make sure that your foal is well prepared to come home to you.
I will, and often do on my own, go above and beyond to satisfy our customers. I feel that once a foal is purchased that we’ve added another member to our Painted Acres Ranch family. I love to stay in touch and am excited to see photos of them grow and hear of accomplishments they’ve made. I have plenty of references that can be provided upon request from our very satisfied PAR family. Our foals sell quickly and you can be added to our waiting list if you are looking for something in particular. We have sold all over the United States, Canada, Mexico and even across seas to the United Kingdom, Belgium and Germany. I can help arrange transport whether it be near or far. I try my best to send photos and or video monthly to update you on your foal while they are here waiting to head home to you. Most often it is more frequent than that. Don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions you have. Thank you so much for your interest in our foals and program and make sure to like and follow our Facebook page to see updates and announcements.

The buying process
- Once you’ve chosen your foal a minimum deposit 25% will take your foal off the market and hold them through weaning. Weaning is at four months old. A later timeframe can be discussed and negotiated if needed.
- Monthly payments are required if foal is not paid in full. Normally the balance is split into equal monthly payments but again this can be negotiated if needed.
- We offer a $500 discount if foal is paid in full.
- We offer a $250 discount if half is paid down on foal.
- All deposits and payments are non refundable.
- We suggest the purchase of equine insurance for your foal that will protect you in the case of injury or loss and is good for one year and covers them during transporting as well.
- Final payment is due at weaning and transport can be arranged for pick up starting two weeks post weaning day.
Waiting List
If you are added to our waiting list, when foals start arriving I work my way down the list contacting each person in the order that they were added. First person on the list gets the choice of foal and they can claim and place a deposit or pass for the next foal born. Then I move to the next person on the list, so on and so forth. If you are looking for something specific I can mark you down for that (example: if you are looking specifically for a colt). Our foals start in price at $8500 and pricing is based off genetic/color results, pedigree, conformation and overall look. I do offer the chance to climb to the top of the waiting list with a small deposit of $100 placed down which goes towards the cost of your foal. We can discuss that further if you’re interested. Let me know if you have any additional questions.
